A prayer tree consists of a small group of people quietly praying behind the scenes for their fellow parishioners, their families and our community. They pray for successful surgeries, medical needs, misfortunes, physical and spiritual challenges and so much more. There are no meetings, no minutes and no reports. All are welcome.
Prayer by many people can work miracles—and the prayer tree is a great way to accomplish it. If you are interested in joining the Prayer Tree or are in need of prayers, please contact Lucie Weir at 773-908-6046 or email her at [email protected].
Prayers can also be written in our book of prayers located by the Marian Shrine.

Miscarriage, stillbirth and early pregnancy loss affect an estimated 1 in 4 pregnancies. Our current culture and society may fall short or not always have a response, but we are blessed as Catholics to have a beautiful and contiguous ethic of life that gives us not only comfort but hope.
St. Mary of Perpetual Help's Miscarriage Ministry is here to support women and families who have experienced pregnancy loss. If you or someone you know is in need of support or assistance, please contact Christina O. Vercimak by calling the parish office at 773-927-6646 or by sending an email to: [email protected].
